Cormorane beach is home to the eponymous nautical center, which is an ideal place for water sports and water adventure enthusiasts. Whatever your age or level, the center offers a wide range of exciting activities.
Windsurfing, kayaking, sailing, paddling – you’re bound to find something to suit you at the Centre Nautique de Cormorane. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced sailor, the equipment is perfectly suited to all levels, and courses are also available to help you make the most of your experience.

Passionate and qualified, the center’s instructors are there to teach you the basics or help you improve your nautical skills.
And if you want to relax, you can rent water sports equipment to discover the surrounding area from the ocean. Kayak solo, with your partner, family or friends to explore the rocky coastline and surrounding coves. Or take a paddle out to enjoy the calm of the ocean while working on your fitness.

Hiking and biking near Saint-Michel-Chef-Chef
Near the Cormorane nautical center, there are several signposted hiking and biking trails in the surrounding area:
- The springs and menhirs circuit, 9.7 kilometers long.
- The 13.6-kilometre coastal and windmill circuit.
- A 22-kilometre tour of the commune.
- The easier 7-kilometre windmill circuit.
The starting point for the first three is the Comberge harbour parking lot, and for the last one the church of Saint-Michel-Chef-Chef.
Leisure activities
Alone, as a couple or with the family, there is plenty of entertainment close to your campsite:
- The Pornic Adventure tree-climbing course or the Pop Corn Labyrinth at La Plaine-sur-Mer, with your children or friends, will leave you with unforgettable memories.
- The magnificent Planète Sauvage wildlife park is half an hour’s drive from Nantes.
- There’s plenty to keep players entertained at the Casino Partouche in Pornic.
Other activities to suit your taste include five mini-golf courses, outdoor games, a go-kart track and various sports.

Ideally located on the Atlantic coast, the Vieux Château campsite in Tharon-Plage welcomes you to a peaceful setting. You’re sure to find a pitch to suit your needs among the 74 available: for a tent or a caravan, in a fully-equipped mobile home for up to eight people, including one with disabled access.
Our Saint-Michel-Chef-Chef campsite offers a heated, covered swimming pool and paddling pool all year round, as well as a variety of leisure activities such as pétanque, table tennis, table soccer and darts. There’s also a play area, workshops and pony rides specifically for children. Numerous evening events and activities are organized during the summer months.
