Pointe Saint-Gildas and its lighthouse

A regional nature reserve, Pointe Saint-Gildas is one of the most visited sites in the region. Stroll along the paths of this rocky headland and enjoy a magnificent panorama of the Baie de Bourgneuf. Visit the Saint-Gildas lighthouse and its museum, and discover its military and maritime history. If you’d like to try your hand at water sports, the Saint-Gildas club offers a range of activities: kayaking, windsurfing, catamaran sailing, buoy outings and even jet-ski hire.

Saint-Michel Chef Chef

If you’re visiting the town of Saint-Michel-Chef-Chef, be sure to pay a visit to the Saint-Michel galette workshop. Yes, this is where these famous cookies are made! If you’d like to go for a walk, there are three hiking trails starting from the town: the “Tour de la Tour Commune”, the “Tour des Sources et des Menhirs” and the “Tour du Littoral et des Moulins”.

Pornic

Visit Pornic, its old port, its castle and stroll through its narrow streets to meet craftsmen and taste the local products they offer.
From the old port, you can take a boat to theisland of Noirmoutier or the bay of Bourgneuf-en-Retz.

This 148-km circuit along the ocean is best done by bike. Along the way, you can reach Pointe Saint-Gildas, La Plaine-sur-Mer, Pornic, and even head down towards the Vendée or north towards Saint-Nazaire.
